fa شیوع و عوامل مرتبط با دردهای ناحیه دهان و صورت در میان دانشجویان دندان‌پزشکی: یک مطالعه تحلیلی مقطعی The Prevalence of Orofacial Pain and Its Associated Factors among Dental Students: A Cross-Sectional Study دندانپزشکی Dentistry گزارش کوتاه Brief Report سابقه و هدف: دردهای دهانی-صورتی از مشکلات شایع در میان جمعیت‌های جوان است و می‌تواند بر عملکرد تحصیلی و کیفیت زندگی اثرگذار باشد. این مطالعه با هدف تعیین شیوع و ویژگی‌های دردهای دهانی-صورتی در بین دانشجویان دندانپزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی مازندران، انجام پذیرفت. مواد و روش ‌ها: این پژوهش توصیفی-تحلیلی، در سال ۱۴۰۴ بر روی ۱۵۰ نفر از دانشجویان ورودی ۱۳۹۸ تا ۱۴۰۲ انجام شد. داده‌ها به‌وسیله پرسشنامه‌ استاندارد مبتنی بر ابزارهای Von Korff و Macfarlane جمع‌آوری شد و پس از اخذ رضایت آگاهانه، با نرم‌افزارSPSS  (نسخه ۲۲) مورد تحلیل قرار گرفت. از آزمون‌های آماری کروسکال والیس و من-ویتنی برای تحلیل داده‌ها در سطح معناداری کم‌تر از ۰٫۰۵ استفاده شد و از ضریب همبستگی اسپیرمن برای بررسی ارتباط سن با نمرات درد و ناتوانی استفاده شد. یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که 47/7 درصد از دانشجویان تجربه دردهای دهانی-صورتی داشتند که شایع‌ترین محل آن مفصل تمپورومندیبولار (42/3 درصد) بود. درد در ۶۴.۸ درصد از موارد مزمن بود. میانگین شدت درد فعلی 2/16 و میانگین شدیدترین درد در شش ماه گذشته ۴.۱۳ گزارش شد. هیچ‌گونه ارتباط آماری معناداری بین شدت درد یا ناتوانی مرتبط با درد با متغیرهای دموگرافیک یا سبک زندگی مشاهده نشد. استنتاج: شیوع نسبتاً بالای دردهای دهانی-صورتی در دانشجویان دندان‌پزشکی نشان ‌دهنده اهمیت توجه به این مسئله در برنامه‌های آموزشی است. با توجه به نبود رابطه بین عوامل جمعیت‌ شناختی و شدت درد و با در نظر گرفتن این که فاکتورهای روحی شایع‌ترین عامل ادراک ‌شده برای درد بود، ممکن است عوامل روان ‌شناختی مانند استرس و اضطراب نقش مهم‌تری در بروز این دردها داشته باشند که نیازمند بررسی با ابزارهای استاندارد در مطالعات آینده است.   Background and purpose: Orofacial pain is a common problem among young people and may adversely affect academic performance and quality of life. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and characteristics of orofacial pain among dental students at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences. Materials and methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted in 2025 among 150 dental students who enrolled between 2019 and 2023. Data were collected using a standardised questionnaire based on the Von Korff and Macfarlane instruments. After written informed consent was obtained, the data were analysed using SPSS version 22. The Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests were used for statistical analysis, with P < 0.05 considered statistically significant. Spearman’s correlation coefficient was used to assess the association between age and pain and disability scores. Results: Orofacial pain was reported by 47.7% of the students, and the temporomandibular joint was the most frequently reported site of pain (42.3%). In 64.8% of cases, the pain was chronic. The mean current pain intensity score was 2.16, while the mean score for the worst pain experienced in the preceding six months was 4.13. No statistically significant associations were found between pain intensity or pain-related disability and demographic or lifestyle variables. Conclusion: The relatively high prevalence of orofacial pain among dental students highlights the importance of addressing this issue through educational programmes. Although no significant associations were found between the demographic or lifestyle variables examined and pain intensity or pain-related disability, psychological factors were the most frequently perceived cause of pain (26.7%). This finding suggests that stress, anxiety and other psychological factors may be relevant to the experience of orofacial pain; however, further investigation is needed to establish their role.
