This study aimed to evaluate the protective effects of Imedeen on histological structure of seminiferous tubules and testosterone in CP treated adult mice. Materials and methods: In this experimental study, 60 mature male mice were assigned to six groups (n= 10 per group). The animals in control group received normal saline, while in other groups the animals were treated with CP 12mg/kg/day, Imedeen in single dose 111µg/kg/day, Imedeen in two dosage 222 µg/kg/day, CP and Imedeen in one dosage, and CP and Imedeen in two dosage, respectively. After 35 days the animals were sacrificed. Histological and histomorphometrical analysis of testis was performed. Serum levels of testosterone were also evaluated. Results: In CP treated group the histological study of testis confirmed that the percentage of seminiferous tubules with positive tubular differentiation (37.97±2.97), repopulation index (18.50±0.64) and spermatogenesis index (43.74±2.2) were significantly (P SP - 282 EP - 291 AU - Rezazadeh, Yasin AU - Ahmadi, Abbas AD - Assistant Professor, Department of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Urmia University, Urmia, Iran KW - Cyclophosphamide KW - histological KW - Imedeen KW - mice KW - testis UR - http://jmums.mazums.ac.ir/article-1-5394-en.html ER -
