fa فراوانی پریودنتیت مزمن در بیماران مبتلا به سرطان معده، مری و کلورکتال Prevalence of Chronic Periodontitis in Patients with Esophageal, Gastric, and Colorectal Cancer دندانپزشکی Dentistry گزارش کوتاه Brief Report سابقه و هدف: اختلالات سیستمیک مانند دیابت یا بیماری قلبی عروقی با بیماری پریودنتال ارتباط دارند. در مطالعات متعدد، ارتباط بین بیماری پریودنتیت و سرطان‌های دستگاه گوارش گزارش شده است. با توجه به اهمیت این موضوع، هدف از مطالعه حاضر بررسی میزان شیوع اشکال مختلف پریودنتیت مزمن در بیماران مبتلا به سرطان‌های معده، مری و کلورکتال مراجعه‌کننده به بیمارستان امام ساری در سال 97- 1396 بود. مواد و روش‌ها: در مطالعه مقطعی حاضر، معاینه بالینی 100 بیمار با بررسی ازدست رفتن چسبندگی بالینی (CAL)، خونریزی حین پروبینگ و از دست رفتن دندان‌ها آغاز شد. پس از ثبت عمق پروبینگ و میزان تحلیل لثه، CAL محاسبه شد و براساس طبقه‌بندی بیماری‌های پریودنتال، پریودنتیت مزمن به انواع خفیف، متوسط و شدید تقسیم شد. برای آنالیز داده‌ها از تست‌های Chi-Square و ANOVA استفاده شد. یافته‌ها: 100 بیمار بررسی شدند. در 23 بیمار مبتلا به سرطان معده، 8/7درصد پریودنتیت خفیف، 26/1 درصد پریودنتیت متوسط و 26/1 درصد پریودنتیت شدید مشاهده شد. از 10 بیمار مبتلا به سرطان مری، 40 درصد سالم، 40 درصد پریودنتیت متوسط و 20 درصد پریودنتیت شدید داشتند. از 67 بیمار مبتلا به سرطان کلورکتال،7/5 درصد پریودنتیت خفیف، 46/3 درصد پریودنتیت متوسط و 1/5درصد پریودنتیت شدید داشتند. استنتاج: در بیماران مبتلا به پریودنتیت مزمن متوسط- پیشرفته، به دلیل از دست دادن ساپورت پریودنتالی دندان‌ها که منجر به لقی آن‌ها می‌گردد، شانس از دست رفتن دندان‌ها افزایش می‌یابد که طبیعتا روند غذا خوردن بیمار مختل و زمینه برای بروز مشکلات گوارشی فراهم می‌گردد. Background and purpose: Systemic conditions, such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease are associated with periodontal disease. Recent studies suggested a link between periodontitis and gastrointestinal cancers. Due to the importance of this issue, this study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of chronic periodontitis in patients suffering from gastric, esophageal, and colorectal cancers attending Sari Imam Khomeini Hospital, 2017-2018. Materials and methods: In this cross-sectional study, clinical examination of 100 patients was performed by assessing clinical attachment loss (CAL), bleeding on probing (BOP), and tooth loss. After recording the periodontal pockets' depth and gingival recession, the CAL was calculated. Chronic periodontitis was categorized as mild, moderate, and severe based on classification of periodontal disease. Chi-Square and ANOVA were applied for data analysis. Results: According to findings in patients with gastric cancer (n= 23) mild, moderate and sever periodontitis were seen in 8.7%, 26.1%, and 26.1%, respectively. There were 10 patients with esophageal cancer of whom 40% were healthy, 40% had moderate periodontitis, and 20% had severe periodontitis. Among patients with colorectal cancer (n=67), 7.5% had mild periodontitis, 46.3% had moderate periodontitis, and 1.5% had severe periodontitis.
