fa ارزیابی فراوانی و موقعیت دندان‌‌های اضافه در کلاس‌های مختلف مال‌ اکلوژن در یک جمعیت بیماران مراجعه ‌کننده به مطب خصوصی ارتودنسی در شمال ایران در طی سال های 1385 تا 1400 Prevalence and Position of Supernumerary Teeth in Patients with Different Malocclusions Attending a Private Orthodontic Clinic in North of Iran, 2006-2021 دندانپزشکی Dentistry گزارش کوتاه Brief Report  سابقه و هدف: هایپردنشیا به وجود دندان‌‌های اضافه (ST) در مرحله شیری یا دائمی گفته می‌‌شود که می‌‌تواند‌ منجر به انواع مشکلات دندانی، اکلوژن و زیبایی شوند. این مطالعه با هدف ارزیابی فراوانی و موقعیت ST در کلاس‌‌های مختلف مال‌ اکلوژن در یک جمعیت بیماران مراجعه‌کننده به مطب خصوصی ارتودنسی در طی سال‌های 1385 تا 1400 در شمال ایران، انجام پذیرفت. مواد و روش‌ها: این مطالعه مقطعی، از سال 1385 تا 1400 در شهر ساری انجام شد. در مجموع، 4873 پرونده از بیماران بررسی شد. ویژگی‌‌های ST و کلاس‌‌های مال ‌اکلوژن با استفاده از رادیوگرافی پانورامیک، لترال سفالومتری و عکس‌‌های داخل دهانی ثبت شد. تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه 26 و هم‌چنین آزمون‌‌های کای اسکوئر، من ویتنی، کروسکال- والیس و دقیق فیشر انجام شد. ‌ یافته‌ها: از 4873 پرونده، 36 بیمار (0/74 درصد) دارای ST بودند. این افراد شامل 21 زن (58/3 درصد) و 15 مرد(41/7 درصد) با میانگین سنی 10/76±23/39 سال بودند. فراوانی ST با جنسیت، کلاس مال ‌اکلوژن و نوع دندان ارتباط معنی‌داری نداشت (به ترتیب 0/317P=، 0/02P= و 0/18P=). ارتباط آماری معنی‌داری بین ST و جهت (یک طرفه یا دو طرفه بودن)، مال اکلوژن، نوع فک (ماگزیلا یا مندیبل) و سمت فک (چپ یا راست) مشاهده شد (0/001P<). استنتاج: توزیع ST به‌طور قابل توجهی با مال ‌اکلوژن، نوع و سمت فک مرتبط بود. با این حال مطالعات تکمیلی در این زمینه برای ارائه بهترین روش‌‌های درمانی به بیماران مورد نیاز است.   Background and purpose: Hyperdontia is defined as supernumerary teeth (ST) in deciduous or permanent dentitions which can cause a variety of dental, occlusion, and cosmetic problems. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and location of ST in different classes of malocclusion in a population of orthodontic patients attending a private orthodontic clinic in Sari, North of Iran between 2006 and 2021. Materials and methods: In this cross-sectional study, the records of 4873 patients were reviewed. ST characteristics and malocclusion classes were studied using panoramic radiography, lateral cephalometry, and intraoral photographs. Data analysis was performed in SPSS ver.26 applying Chi-square, Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, and Fisher's exact test. Results: Out of 4873 records, 36 (0.74%) patients had ST. These included 21 (58.3%) women and 15 (41.7%) men with a mean age of 23.39±10.76 years. The prevalence of ST was not significantly associated with sex, classes of malocclusion, and the type of teeth (P= 0.317, 0.02, and 0.18, respectively). However, significant correlations were found between the incidence of ST and the direction (unilateral or bilateral), malocclusion, and type (maxilla or mandible) and direction (left or right) of the jaw (P<0.001). Conclusion: Distribution of ST is significantly associated with the direction, malocclusion, and left or right jaw.
