fa گزارش یک مورد کشف اتفاقی سرطان پستان در نمونه های پاتولوژی عمل جراحی مامو پلاستی کاهشی پژوهشي-کامل Research(Original) <div style="text-align: justify direction: rtl"> ماموپلاستی کاهشی از جمله اعمال جراحی پلاستیک است که در سال های اخیر رو به افزایش می باشد. با توجه به شیوع نسبتا بالای سرطان پستان لازم است در ارزیابی قبل از عمل، این بیماری را در نظر داشته و پس از عمل نمونه های نسجی را از نظر پاتولـوژی به دقت بررسی نمود. این گزارش شامل یک مورد کشف اتفاقی سرطان پستان در بیماری با پستان های خیلی بزرگ است، که در ارزیابی و ماموگرافـی قبل از عمـل شـواهـدی از بدخیمـی، نـداشته و نسـج بـرداشتـه شـده از پستان در نمای gross تومورال نبـوده است. ولی بررسی میکروسکوپیک توسـط پاتـولوژیست وجـود کانون هایـی سرطانی (invasive ductal carcinoma) را در نمونه های ارسالی از پستان چپ گزارش نمود که بیمار متعاقبا تحت عمل جراحی ماستکتومی قرار گرفت. این گزارش اهمیت ارزیابی قبل از عمل و لزوم دقت در بررسی پاتولوژی نسوج برداشته شده از هر پستان را نشان می دهد. </div> Reduction mammaplasty is increasingly used for the treatment of discomfort associated with macromastia. Breast cancer is a tumor with the highest prevalence and incidence in women. As it can be expected, reduction mammaplasty specimens occasionally reveal breast cancer. So, before reduction mammaplasty, patients should be assessed for breast cancer risk and evaluated by physical examination and mammography. We report here the discovery of breast cancer in specimens from a patient who underwent elective breast reduction. Preoperative mammography showed no evidence of malignancy. But, final pathologic evaluation of reduction specimens revealed foci of “invasive ductal carcinoma” on the left side, therefore the patient underwent modified radical mastectomy. In conclusion, thorough preoperative clinical examination and mammography may reduce the rate of incidentally discovered cancer during reduction mammaplasty procedures. Pathologic examination of RM specimens is imperative, and sending all of them for pathologist is mandatory.
