Langerhans Cell Disease (LCD), formerly known as Histiocytosis X, is a rare disorder characterized by a proliferation of cells exhibiting phenotypic characteristics of langerhans cells. The etiology and pathogenesis of this disease is unknown. It can occur as focal or disseminated form-acute or chronic. Oral manifestations may be the first signs. In this report a 2-year old boy is presented. He referred with a chief complaint of luxation of posterior teeth of right side of mandible. In panoramic radiography, resorption of alveolar bone was observed in posterior side of mandible. Complete examinations were performed for the patient. No other part of the body was found to be affected by the disease. Early diagnosis and treatment of this disease is important in the prognosis, therefore, dentists should be aware of oral manifestations and differential diagnosis of this disease.
